Have you ever been disgusted while out shopping at major retail stores? I have and I will tell you about it.
A few months ago I went to Wal Mart with my mom at 9 o’clock at night to do some last minute shopping. While we were briefing through the women’s clothing section I couldn’t help but notice many of the employees were older women. One specific employee appeared to be in her 70s as she leaned over with her hand on her back as she spoke to customers. She looked tired, in pain and not in an environment of her choice.
Upon observing her I felt disgusted. Why was this older woman working in a major retail store when she should be in bed? I included myself in the picture. Why am I shopping in a store employing older people while paying them such low wages? Why do I accept this and turn my head as I skim through racks of clothing needing to be organized by these elderly employees?
My mind has not been free from this unfortunate observation ever since and I have decided I will no longer enter Wal Mart unless I absolutely need a specialty item. This meant I needed to go elsewhere for my regularly used household and hygiene products such as dish soap, laundry detergent, toothpaste, etc. Where should I go unless I go to another major retailer?
Fortunately through a parent’s friend I learned of a company that produces quality products I mentioned above while offering a compensation plan to customers so they actually have the option to make money. This business made total sense as I listened to the presentation about the products, company setup and benefits of being a customer. I have been a customer ever since and feel relieved that I no longer am subservient to major retailers. If you are weary of Wal Mart as well and would like to learn more message me.
