Thinking about launching an Amazon Associates account to bring in extra revenue through your website or blog? Be sure to make a commitment to your blog before inserting affiliate links. If you do not make this commitment then you may end up wasting your time and I want to make sure your time is well spent!
Amazon has a deadline for you to give them a referral, meaning someone must purchase something through your affiliate links in order for your account to stay in good standing. If you do not pass on a referral within a certain time frame then your affiliate account will be shut down and you will have to re-apply again if you decide to pursue affiliate marketing in the future. Unfortunately the Amazon links on your site will not be re-established and you will have to go back and update them which is a total time absorber!
My recommendation is to keep your blog up to date and market it whenever possible so that you have consistent growth in traffic and will make all your affiliate efforts worthwhile by passing on legit referrals. Message me if you have questions or would like to learn more about Amazon Associates.
